Andy Cooney, star of The Magic of Christmas at Carnegie Hall, with his outstanding voice and dynamic stage presence has always been a favorite among American and Irish audiences everywhere. His talent and versatility provide the ability to deliver a song directly to the hearts of his audience. Andy is surely one of the greatest singing sensations on the stage today. Being christened “Irish America’s Favorite Son” by The New York Times is a title he truly deserves.
George Casey, Ireland’s “King of Blarney” will add great balance and comedy relief. George Casey from County Clare, Ireland is a veteran to the stage. He has toured with many of America’s legendary performers such as Rosemary Clooney and has extensively toured with Bobby Vinton, who later encouraged George to team up with him in Branson MO. Kate Purcell is one of Ireland's foremost folk artists. Her fresh and engaging way with a song will immediately capture and thrill the audience. Growing up with musicians such as Fiddle virtuoso Martin Hayes, as neighbors, Kate's early influences were mainly Irish Folk. She also developed a love for contemporary styles particularly a blend of Blues and American Country. She has played extensively around Ireland at venues ranging from Arts Centres to major Concert Halls and has opened for, and played with, most of the major acts on the Irish touring circuit. Presently she is the featured performer at Ireland’s renowned Dromoland Castle. Darrah Carr Dance will be with us for this upcoming tour. The past decade has seen an explosion of popularity for Irish dance. These exciting dancers are sure to dazzle the audience with traditional Irish step and contemporary modern dance, a great combination providing a meeting place for the cultures of Ireland and America. Andy also surrounds himself with the finest musicians lead by Musical Director, Brian Moran, a most accomplished musician from New York. Andy’s band will feature Mitch Reilly on flute and whistles, percussionist Jimmy Kelly and guitarist Colm Graham. Join Andy and his guests to celebrate A Classic Irish Christmas.
